En una carta a la Cámara de Representantes, el ministro de Hacienda Heinen acaba de declarar que el impuesto sobre las ganancias no realizadas del 36% se aplicará en 2028, al menos hasta que encuentren un sistema mejor.
Todavía tiene que pasar el Senado, pero está bastante seguro de que el impuesto uPnL va a llegar. Pronto.
Si no estás pensando en hacer las maletas, ahora sería un buen momento para empezar.

BIG NEWS: The Dutch government is going to change the BOX 3 law, which proposed a ridiculous 36% unrealized gains tax!
In an interview with RTL News, the newly appointed minister of finance - Eelco Heinen (VVD) - says 'I don't think this law can pass in its current form. Something must've gone wrong along the way, it needs to change'.
Obviously still very uncertain on what this means exactly - but the fact that they're going to take another close look at the bill stands.
Perhaps time to move to a system akin to the rest of the world, with taxes levied only upon realized gains?
